My First Train
This train is really kid powered! The four cars in this train connect easily with a ball and socket hitching system, perfect for little hands. Have your engine pull the train or push it. Crafted from locally sourced, sustainably harvested solid maple with engraved detailing. All cars connected, the train measures over 24" long. Each car is about 5" high. My First Train comes shrink wrapped on a 24" stick that can be slid over the front ball to tow the whole train. Ages 1+

This adorable train engine is made from maple and painted with a non-toxic paint green. Details are then screen printed to show off the smokestack and the conductors window. The red and blue markers are pegs so they won't fall off the board. Perfect for your little engineer or even a rail enthusiast. It is rated for ages 3 and up.

Chair Train
Place chairs in a row.
Have the person in the back wear a conductors hat (a hat).  Have the conductor say where the train will go and stop.  Sing a train (or railroad) song as you walk across the room or say, "chugga-chugga, choo, choo...", ...  One person can use color signal flags to guide the train.

Railroad Color Signal Flags Craft
Make flags using construction paper.  Tape them onto chopsticks or staple them on straws.
Red - Stop
White - Go
Green - Go slowly - caution!

I've Been Working on the Railroad

In the CD,"Silly Favorites", it has a song called "A Peanut Sat on a Railroad Track".
There are other versions without music at: A Peanut Sat and Travel (it has action to go with the song).
